How to choose a yacht for the Monaco Grand Prix

Berth position, guest numbers and minimum stays: what to weigh up when choosing a Grand Prix charter.

Yachts moored in Port Hercule, Monaco, at golden hour

Choosing a yacht for race weekend is different from choosing one for a summer cruise. The yacht rarely leaves its berth, so location and deck space matter more than range or speed.

Berth position comes first

Yachts closer to the circuit offer better views and a premium price. Ask where the yacht will be berthed and whether that berth is confirmed.

Think in deck space, not cabins

Many Grand Prix guests come for the day. A yacht with generous upper decks often suits hospitality better than one with more cabins.

Understand event-week terms

Expect minimum stays and berthing fees specific to race week. These are set out in writing before you commit.
