Who we share it with

  • Monaco charter brokerages we introduce you to: the details needed to arrange your charter. Once a brokerage receives your data, it is responsible for it as an independent controller under its own privacy policy, and we are not responsible for how it uses your data.
  • Service providers who run our website and email on our behalf: Lovable (website hosting, database and email delivery) and Microsoft (our email accounts). They process data under their own terms and data protection commitments.
  • Professional advisers, insurers, authorities or courts where the law requires it, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Some brokerages and service providers are based outside the UK, including in Monaco, the EU and the United States. Monaco is not covered by UK adequacy regulations, so when we introduce you to a brokerage in Monaco we protect the transfer using the ICO's International Data Transfer Agreement or the International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Transfers to the EU rely on UK adequacy regulations. Transfers to the US rely on the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or otherwise on the same ICO safeguards. Contact us for details of these safeguards.

How we protect it

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data and limit access to those who need it. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us online.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to a charter: up to 24 months from our last contact.
  • Enquiries that lead to a booking: up to 6 years, for tax, accounting and legal purposes.
  • Guide requests: up to 24 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

We may keep data longer where needed to resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to how we use it, or transfer it to another organisation. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. These rights have some legal limits, and we may need to verify your identity before acting. To use them, email acooper@rivelune.yachts.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to resolve it with you first.
